Let’s break the cycle together
Teresa Fowler
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC, CRC
I have a Master’s degree (MA) in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University (MSU). I have over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
I believe much of our work together is within the therapeutic relationship you and I build together. You want a therapist you can trust, work this process with, and be your guiding support. My work will provide you with the non-judgmental space you need while respectfully challenging you. I often tell clients, “You aren’t doing this alone anymore. I can’t do it for you but you won’t have to do it alone.”
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and strongly believe in a holistic wellness approach. Using EMDR and other therapeutic interventions to serve your mind, body, and soul allows me to see you as a whole person not just a diagnosis. If you're struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, disability-related barriers, PTSD, cancer, hearing loss, or other stressors I am here to support you! I am a licensed professional and certified rehabilitation counselor with over 18 years of counseling experience providing a compassionate approach using a variety of individualized therapeutic interventions.
I believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. I understand taking this first step toward becoming your best self can be overwhelming. Asking for help is not always easy, however, we are all interdependent and need support. I have extensive experience working with people to achieve their short- and long-term personal and professional goals.
I have worked with people of all ages to help them create positive changes to improve their personal and professional lives with support and encouragement along their journey to wholehearted wellness. I look forward to working with you to create and maintain the life you deserve! Feel free to contact me today and let's see if we are a good match.
You crave connection in your relationships, in the workplace, and with yourself, however, you may fear you'll repeat the same self-sabotaging patterns. Developing and maintaining healthy fulfilling relationships can be challenging.
You may want more from your important relationships, you may feel trapped in a complicated situation, or maybe you are starting over and need support. All these relational challenges may cause feelings of anxiety, depression, and confusion, and may greatly impact your ability to enjoy life and form the authentic relationships you desire.
Unfortunately, this world we live in now can leave us feeling burnt out, disconnected, and uncertain of how to move forward or even take that first step. This is happening to a lot of people and it is okay to ask for a little help.
Let’s FIND YOUR BALANCE TOGETHER
Kelly Miller
Licensed Professional Counselor, LLPC
I believe that effective therapy begins with a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment—one where you feel heard, understood, and respected. My approach is rooted in both Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), blending compassion with practical tools to help you create meaningful, lasting change.
My Counseling Philosophy
At the core of my work is Person-Centered Therapy, a humanistic approach that recognizes your inherent capacity for growth and self-discovery. I believe each person has the inner resources needed to heal, and my role is to create a space of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity where that healing can unfold.
I see myself not as an expert who tells you what to do, but as a collaborator walking beside you on your journey. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace—building self-awareness, confidence, and trust in your own ability to create positive change.
Integrating CBT for Practical Growth
While empathy and understanding are essential, I also believe in providing practical, goal-oriented tools to help you move forward. By integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into our work, we can identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress.
Through this process, you’ll learn to:
Recognize how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors
Reframe negative or self-critical thinking
Build healthy coping skills and problem-solving strategies
Develop mindfulness and stress management techniques
CBT empowers you to regain control over your emotions and behaviors—helping you make choices that align with your values and goals.
You Are the Expert of Your Own Life
I believe therapy works best when it’s a collaborative partnership. You bring insight, experience, and intuition about your own life; I bring support, structure, and evidence-based tools to help you uncover what’s already within you. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels both empowering and realistic—one that helps you move toward a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Ethical, Inclusive, and Culturally Sensitive Care
Respect, compassion, and inclusivity are central to my practice. I am committed to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in every session. I strive to create a space that honors your individuality and the many intersecting parts of your identity.
Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and capable of growth—exactly as you are.
A Commitment to Growth
I believe therapy is a journey of growth for both client and counselor. I am committed to ongoing self-reflection and professional development to ensure I provide the best, most informed care possible. By modeling self-awareness and resilience, I hope to inspire clients to embrace their own capacity for learning and healing.
Empowerment and Healing
My approach combines the empathy and warmth of Person-Centered Therapy with the structure and practicality of CBT. This balance allows me to support clients in developing self-awareness, achieving emotional balance, and creating lasting change.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected—to your values, your relationships, and yourself. Through collaboration, compassion, and evidence-based support, we can work together to help you live a life that feels authentic and whole.
